Devotion to the sacred heart.....

Today is the Catholic feast of the Sacred heart of Jesus. It was revealed to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, a french nun in the 1600's. Our lord himself called us to practice this devotion to the sacred heart which has loved men so much and yet has received so much scorn from mankind in return! It is a sad world we live in today indeed! Jesus became man and accepted all the humiliations that come with being human. He shed his blood till the very last drop, all so that we could have salvation. His heart was and is on fire for us, consumed by love! He could not bare to be away from us and even made himself a prisoner for love in the blessed sacrament! Oh What love! I cannot even begin to comprehend when i think of his sacrifice. And for what? We are nothing without him and yet he who is everything love us? Who am i indeed? One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church

I just have to say that i am proud to be Roman Catholic! With the recent synod of catholic bishops approaching, there has been a lot of speculation by the media about changes within the church such as allowing re-married Catholics to receive communion. In this changing world, some people are expectant that the church will change as well. However the Roman Catholic church will not change its stance on certain issues like abortion, divorce, homosexuality, fornication and holy communion just to suit us. People may say that the church is rigid and conservative but the church is not going to dilute our faith for cheap popularity! This church founded by Christ himself has remained firm in its standards of morality and spiritual guidance on the way its members should live their lives! We will not change just so that we can make you feel good about yourself when you know you are doing something wrong. Disappointment

Hello everyone, Last week i felt really bad because i spent most of my savings on a business idea that has not panned out yet. I was really looking forward to getting some quick cash and kind of excited about it too. Unfortunately i have not yet made a sale and i am afraid i might not get back even the money i invested. But i have been thinking about it and i realized that its too soon to be disappointed. If you want something to work out you have to have the patience and will to see it through. And you have to learn to deal with disappointment by picking yourself up and moving on.
