I am still in shock concerning the ill fated Ethiopian flight from Addis Ababa to Nairobi that crashed last Sunday shortly after take off. Air travel is currently considered the safest form of travel but accidents do happen! However two crashes within 6 months involving the same plane model raises questions (and eyebrows). My condolences to the families, friends and coworkers of all the deceased crew members and passengers! I cannot imagine what they are going through right now and having to bury empty coffins is simply heartbreaking. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May the good Lord grant you comfort and may their souls through the mercy of God rest in peace! Let us take a moment to think about whether feminism especially the radicalized kind is truly about helping women! In our times feminism has risen with the supposed goal of uplifting women's status in society and ensuring that women's rights are protected. However i am left to wonder what the true agenda of feminists really is! We have lived in a patriarchal society for a very long time. Today is ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Lent is meant to be a time of renewal, a time to return back to God! As the priest blesses your head, he says the words ""You are dust and to dust you shall return". Human beings need to be reminded of our own mortality as we often live our lives as if we were meant to be on the earth forever. We forget that our lives here are only a temporary journey to our final destination which is eternity. Our lives here will determine our state in eternity!
